Fly & Float Terms and Conditions

Business Name: Fly & Float (referred to as “we”, “our”, or “us”)
By engaging with Fly & Float for any travel services, including cruises, flights, or custom travel packages, or by accessing and using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Validity & Information
- Prices and details are valid as stated per tour or package.
- Information is based on third-party supplier data, and facilities/services may change after publication.
- We cannot guarantee personal knowledge of all supplier conditions.
2. Confirmation of Services
- Acceptance of a quote or booking request does not guarantee availability until you receive a written confirmation invoice from Fly & Float and your deposit is paid.
- Your booking is not confirmed until we have received a copy of your passport and the deposit.
- The name on your reservation must match your passport, which must be valid for at least 6 months after your scheduled return.
3. Deposits and Final Payments
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of $5,000 per person is required within 7 days of confirming your booking. Failure to pay may result in cancellation.
- Further Instalments: If applicable, further instalments will be advised at the time of booking.
- Final Payment: The balance must be paid by the date specified in your confirmation. If not received, Fly & Float reserves the right to cancel all arrangements without notice.
- Late Bookings: Bookings made after the final payment due date or within 120 days of departure require full payment at booking.
- Payment Methods: Accepted methods will be advised at booking. Credit card payments may incur a service fee.
4. Amendments
- Amendments after confirmation must be requested in writing.
- A $100 administration fee per amendment applies, plus any supplier-imposed fees.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
- Deposit: Fully refundable up to 7 days from receipt by Fly & Float, unless otherwise specified.
- Cancellations up to 121 days prior to departure: Only monies recovered from suppliers will be refunded.
- Cancellations within 120 days of departure: 100% loss of tour value.
- All cancellations must be in writing and are effective from the date received.
- Administration Charges: Cancelled bookings incur charges up to 100% of the booking cost. Minimum charge is 10% of total booking value plus any supplier fees.
- No Refund: No refund is available for cancellations after travel has commenced or for unused services.
- Force Majeure: In the event of government “Do Not Travel” advisories, Fly & Float may cancel or alter arrangements. We will attempt to recover refunds for unused services but are not liable for unrecoverable costs. Claims for such costs must be made to your travel insurance provider.
6. Early Return, Illness, or Absence
- Early return expenses are your responsibility.
- No refund is given for early departure, absence, or unused services.
- Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all bookings. Proof of insurance must be provided at final payment or at least 90 days prior to travel.
7. Prices, Taxes & Currency Fluctuations
- Prices are guaranteed only after full payment.
- Prices are based on costs and exchange rates at the time of quotation and may change before full payment.
- Government taxes, levies, and transportation costs (fuel, taxes, surcharges, etc.) may change and can be passed on to you up to departure.
8. Not Included in Tour Cost
- Visas, insurance, excess baggage, optional activities, cruise excursions (unless stated), and personal items are not included.
9. Holiday Variation
- If unforeseen circumstances require changes to your tour, Fly & Float reserves the right to amend or reschedule departures, itineraries, or accommodation to a similar standard.
- Cruise lines may change ports of call without notice.
10. Tour Manager
- Fly & Float reserves the right to change the allocated tour manager if necessary.
11. Accommodation & Meals
- Accommodation descriptions are subject to change. Photos may not reflect your specific room.
- Meals included are as specified. Special dietary requirements must be advised at booking and are not guaranteed.
12. Baggage
- One checked bag (max 23kg) and one carry-on (max 7kg) per person. Excess baggage is your responsibility and may be left behind at your cost.
13. Smoking
- Smoking is not permitted in hotel rooms or on vehicles. Smoking in non-smoking rooms will incur a fine.
14. Solo Passengers
- All pricing is based on twin/double share. Solo travellers must pay a single supplement. Solo spaces are limited.
15. Travel Advice
- Fly & Float makes no representation as to the safety or conditions at any destination. Check official travel advice at www.safetravel.govt.nz.
16. Passports, Visas & Health
- You are responsible for valid passports, visas, re-entry permits, and health requirements for your travel.
17. Delivery of Documentation
- Final travel documents are provided at least two weeks before departure. Late bookings may receive documents after this period.
18. Insurance (Mandatory)
- It is a condition of booking that you hold comprehensive travel insurance for the full duration of your travel.
- Insurance should be purchased at the time of deposit. Proof must be provided at final payment or 90 days prior to travel (whichever comes first).
- Fly & Float is not responsible for costs incurred due to lack of insurance.
19. Your Responsibility & Behaviour
- Travellers must conduct themselves in an orderly and respectful manner. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the tour at your expense.
- You indemnify Fly & Float for any costs or damages resulting from your behaviour.
20. Customs, Immigration, and Law
- You are responsible for complying with all immigration, customs, and quarantine regulations. Fly & Float is not liable for your failure to comply.
21. Business Purposes
- If services are acquired for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.
22. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Claims against overseas suppliers may be subject to their terms and local laws.
23. Responsibility
- Fly & Float acts as a coordinator and agent for suppliers and is not liable for loss, injury, illness, death, delays, or damages arising from circumstances beyond our control.
- We do not assume responsibility for airline seat assignments, schedule changes, or refunds.
- Reasonable changes to itineraries may be made without notice.
24. Website Use & Content
- All website content is the property of Fly & Float or our content providers.
- No reproduction or commercial use is allowed without written consent.
- We are not responsible for errors or outdated information on our website.
25. Links to Third-Party Sites
- Links are provided for convenience only. We do not control or endorse third-party content.
26. Website Liability
- We do not guarantee our website will be free from viruses or technical issues.
- Fly & Float is not liable for any loss arising from use of our website.
27. Privacy
- Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- We do not share your data except as required to complete your booking or by law.
28. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
